Plus Ethics will participate in the SMI2G Meeting in Brussels
On 1th and 2nd February, the Plus Ethics team participated in the most important networking event for the Secure Societies Work Program of the new research and innovation framework of the European Union (Horizon 2020). Organized by TNO at the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) in Brussels.
According to the event’s official website: “the SMI2G focuses on the features of Horizon 2020 (H2020) with the view of exchanging information on the Secure Societies calls to stimulate networking and consortia building. The objective is to give the delegates the opportunity to create ideas and find partners for each open research call of the EU security research programme”.
Francisco Javier Castro, Head in R + D of Plus Ethics, suggested that “if we want to fulfill the European objective of promoting safe societies in a context of unprecedented transformations and growing interdependence and global threats from the strengthening of the European culture of freedom and justice, any initiative will fail if it is outside the reflection of its ethical scope”.
