POP-ART

The POP-ART project is based on a platform that enables the secure processing and sharing of large amounts of data with the aim of improving the security of EU citizens against threats and attacks in public spaces and mass gatherings, combining a technical, regulatory and social approach, under a public-private perspective, to provide tools for coordinated and effective action to prevent/deter/mitigate security threats and attacks. The platform integrates with the existing systems of the Spanish National Police, which improves the understanding of the overall situation and increase response capacity.

POP-ART has a budget of 1,08 M€ (co-funded by the EU under the ISF programme). It has a duration of 24 months and the consortium working on it is formed by 3 partners, under the coordination of ETRA I+D. The project addresses man-made physical attacks and demonstrates its results in two real deployments, during the protection of two sporting events.
